Examination
- There will be two Term Examinations, two Unit Tests and Class Tests. Promotion to the next Class is granted on the basis of the whole year’s performance and not merely on marks secured in the Final Examination.
- Every student must be present for the Term Examinations, Unit Tests and the Class Tests, all of which are important.
- The average of marks obtained in the Two Unit Tests, Class Tests and the Two term examinations is taken into consideration and the student who scores an average of 40% marks in every subject is given promotion. A student must pass in all the areas of learning in order to be declared passed.
- Absence or failure in any subject excludes a student from being reckoned in the order of merit in the examination.
- The use of unfair means by students in all examinations/tests will lead to zero mark in that subject and will entail the annulment of the entire result. If it occurs during a final examination, promotion will be denied. They also will not be eligible for any academic award or for the College Cabinet.
If the offence is repeated in a subsequent examination, parents will be asked to withdraw their ward from the College.

- A student who renders unfair assistance is equally culpable and will be punished for the same.
- Special arrangements cannot be made for pupils who for any reason whatsoever are absent from the examinations or any part of it and no marks will be awarded to them.
- Parents are strongly advised not to send their children to the College if they are suffering from a stomach upset, fever or an infectious disease just because the Class is having a test/examination. However, a serious view will be taken of those students who regularly absent themselves from the tests and examinations.
- No student who has failed for two consecutive years in the same Class shall be permitted to continue in this College.
- The result declared at the end of the year is final and cannot be reconsidered. In all matters of promotion or failure the Principal’s decision is final.
- The Pre-board Examination is compulsory for Classes X and XII and will be conducted on the Board pattern. Every student must appear for this and get a pass percentage in all the subjects if he/she has to be declared fit for the Board Examination.
- Parents/guardians are requested to examine the Progress Report of their wards and return it, duly signed to the Class Teacher within three days.
- Signature found in the Progress Report should be identical with the specimen signature found in the diary.
- Those who lose or damage the Progress Report will be charged a fine.
Tips to Effective Study (Learning more in less time)

- Never omit the lesson or home-work assigned; if you do so, it is like missing a train you can never catch afterwards.

- Always revise the work done in the Class and make sure that you have understood everything clearly and thoroughly.

- Take up first the subject you most dislike. Once you have done this, the rest of your work will be easy.

- If memory work is assigned, learn it overnight and repeat it in the morning.

- Always take down in your diary the work that is assigned for the next day.

- All home work should be done neatly and the day’s work always dated. Each new home work should be done on a fresh page.

- As you grow up, make a daily time-table for your self- study (the different subjects in order of difficulty, the most difficult one being the first), for your rest, recreation etc. In this way you will learn to be a person of regular habits, a most valuable asset in later life.

- Do not hesitate to ask your teacher or your cleverer companions things you do not grasp clearly. Never leave difficulties unanswered, as this will put you into greater difficulties later.

- Revise at the end of the week all that was learnt during the week.

- To make sure that you have understood something thoroughly, use these tips.

- Pretend that you are explaining the lesson to another, see if you can do it well.

- Make yourself your own teacher and question yourself and answer honestly.

- Do not continue working when you are tired; walk round the garden, or talk to a friend or have some other pleasant interruption, but only long enough to refresh you. Finish your lessons and do not waste time.

- Get enough exercise every day; it keeps the body and the mind fresh.

- Do not cut down necessary sleep in order to study. It will harm you later on.
- Lastly, pray often to the all-wise and all-knowing God to help you make progress in your studies.
